How it works

A weekend escape is a short, intensive language experience built around a theme — food, design, architecture, wine — in a place where that theme comes alive. Two or three days, a small group, and a programme that puts the language where it belongs: in the middle of real life.

The weekend

Each weekend is built around a subject you love — food, art, architecture, music or sport — and delivered as a full immersion over 20+ hours of real conversation in real places. A food weekend in Bologna. A design weekend in Milano. The programme combines guided activities, local experts and plenty of unstructured time — because some of the best language practice happens when no one is officially teaching.

Groups are small by design, usually no more than eight people — small enough for real conversation, large enough for the kind of energy that only happens in a group. When a weekend is full, it is full.

Accommodation and meals are included, and most of what you need for the weekend is taken care of. You book your travel to the destination yourself.

Why it works

A weekend isn’t long enough to learn a language. Put a curated language weekend is a powerful injection that actually will fastforward your knowledge. It is long enough to fall back in love with the language — or to remember why you wanted to learn it in the first place. When language is attached to something you genuinely care about, it lands differently. You’re not memorising vocabulary. You’re describing a wine you just tasted, asking a craftsman how he learned his trade, navigating a market with someone who knows every stall. That kind of learning stays.
