A weekend escape is not an ordinary language course. It is much shorter, and much more intense. It is an immersion built around something you already love \u2014 food, art, architecture, music, sport \u2014 where the language comes along because it has to. Two or three days, a small group and a programme that puts the language where it belongs: in the middle of real life. Over 20 hours of real conversation, in real places, with real people. No classroom. No textbook. Just you, a small group of curious minds, and a subject worth talking about.<\/p>\n

How it works<\/h2>\n

Each weekend is built around a subject you love \u2014 food, art, architecture, music or sport \u2014 and delivered as a full immersion over 20+ hours of real conversation in real places. The programme combines guided activities, local experts and plenty of time to speek, develop and be inspired and hungry for more. Groups are small by design, usually no more than six people \u2014 small enough for real conversation, large enough for the kind of energy that only happens in a group. Accommodation and meals are included, and most of what you need for the weekend is taken care of. You book your travel to the destination yourself.<\/p>\n

Places<\/h4>\n

A weekend escape puts you inside the language \u2014 in the places where it breathes, moves and means something. We design escapes at our favorites locations in France, Italy, Germany and Spain. The beaches of Biarritz. The bookstores of Rive Gauche. The local butchers in Bologna. The bars of Navigli. The design stores of Neuk\u00f6lln. Every location is there for a reason. The city, the neighbourhood, the specific bar, market or studio \u2014 all of it chosen because it makes the language more alive, more necessary, more real.<\/p>\n

The language and the place are inseparable. That’s the whole point.<\/p>\n

Why it works<\/h4>\n

A weekend isn’t long enough to learn a language. But a curated language weekend is a powerful injection that will fastforward your learning and fill you with inspiration. It is long enough to fall back in love with the language \u2014 or to remember why you wanted to learn it in the first place. When language is attached to something you genuinely care about, it lands differently. You’re not memorising vocabulary. You’re describing a wine you just tasted, asking a craftsman how he learned his trade, navigating a market with someone who knows every stall. That kind of learning stays.<\/p>\n
